Lancashire Constabulary discriminate disability under the Equality Act 2010

Another massive cock-up by Lancashire Constabulary is discrimination under the Equality Act 2010 for disabilities.

I have a number of complaints against Lancashire police.  Due to this, they have decided to ‘make up‘ a policy to restrict further complaints by stating that I must put all future complaints ‘in writing‘ on paper provided by them.

Lancashire police know full well that I suffer from ‘dupytren contracture in both hands.  I have now had five surgical procedures to correct this painful condition as well as two other procedures to fuse a bone!

I am unable to write too much due to pain, I choose to use a keyboard where I can.  I can, of course, write small quantities, sign forms etc.  I am not saying I cannot write at all.

To hand write a full detailed complaint is almost impossible for me without suffering significant and unnecessary pain, yet they have refused to accept any further complaints from me unless it is handwritten.

Disability in the Equality Act 2010

You’re disabled under the Equality Act 2010 if you have a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities.

‘substantial’ is more than minor or trivial, eg it takes much longer than it usually would to complete a daily task like getting dressed

This is discrimination! All other people wronged by Lancashire police are allowed to submit complaints via various different electronic methods yet, as I am getting close to uncovering the misconduct in Lancashire police, they discriminate against me to slow the process…

I am chasing this up as a further complaint under the Equality Act 2010 but, ironically, unable to submit it in the only way they will accept it is in writing…

You really cannot make this shit up!
