A man who was lives on the Isle of Wight was arrested on suspicion of drug possession after Hampshire police discovered Novelty ‘lollies’ purchased from Amazon.
The lollies are legally sold on Amazon as novelty lollies and the listing states they contain no THC (the main psychoactive compound in cannabis that produces the high sensation).
The mother of the arrested man has reported that police have claimed to have tested the lollies and say they do contain THC and have now charged the man for a drug offence.
Hampshire police have been asked for their comments.
