A Southport shop assistant was threatened with violence by a customer. Merseyside Police were informed but failed to attend.
The shop keeper who is only 20 years old was shaken by the incident and felt vulnerable in case the offender returned as his threats had implied. The Police offered to take a statement over a week later but have not made any attempt to locate the offender who lives minutes away from the shop.
The shop has CCTV of the incident but Merseyside Police have not even attempted to collect this evidence to identify the offender who told the shop assistant that he was ‘Russian’ in a threatening manner.
