Misconduct hearing for PC Anthony Guina who ‘put weed video on Snapchat’

A police constable is alleged to have filmed himself smoking cannabis in Amsterdam – and posted the footage on Snapchat.

PC Anthony Guina will face Chief Constable John Campbell at a misconduct hearing next month, where he is accused of discreditable conduct.

The force claims Mr Guina, who is based at Milton Keynes police station, was on holiday in Amsterdam in September when he took a video of himself smoking cannabis.

The video was posted on social media website Snapchat, on which he has more than 100 followers.

In a press notice, Thames Valley Police said ‘if the allegation is proven, it would amount to gross misconduct for which dismissal would be justified’.

The hearing will take place on January 4.
