North Yorks Police Say Failings Not Down To Individual Officers

North Yorkshire’s Police Fire and Crime Commissioner says individual members of police staff are not to blame for a poor report into the force’s procedures around child protection issues.

An inspection of the force last November found its child protection arrangements don’t provide either the quality of service or a good enough response to effectively safeguard children in the county.

Commissioner Zoe Metcalfe says the problems are being addressed but were not down to individuals:
