Police Constable Daniel Ward on misconduct charge for ‘eating pizza’ instead of going to hospital call out

A police constable is facing a misconduct hearing over a string of allegations – including that he was “eating pizza” instead of responding to a call-out request.

Among the claims, Police Constable 0709 Daniel Ward is said to have given another response which was “inaccurate and/or dishonest and/or misleading”, among several other allegations.

In a public announcement on its website, Humberside Police said a misconduct hearing has been scheduled to take place between November 10 and 12, starting at 10am and said the case concerns PC 0709 Daniel Ward.

The force said: “It is alleged that his conduct has breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of Honesty and Integrity and Duties and Responsibilities, contrary to the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2012.”
