Rebekah Sutcliffe is one of Britain’s finest cops, but the infamous female jealousy got the best of her. She’s suspended after fighting with her coworker Sarah Jackson. The two ladies didn’t even pick a decent topic to argue over; instead, they were arguing about who had the “best boobs.”
To make matters worse, the two policewomen were attending the Senior Women In Policing conference. Since the row happened in public, the ladies ended up being the Twitter community’s laughing stock.
Rebekah Sutcliffe Is Suspended And Under The Investigation
Assistant Chief Constable Rebekah Sutcliffe and Superintendent Sarah Jackson were on a three-day event set up to improve the “profile and perception” of female officers in the force.
“A senior officer has been suspended following allegations of inappropriate behaviour.”
They added:
“An investigation is under way and it would be inappropriate to make further comment.”
While suspending one of their finest wasn’t the best ad for the event, Greater Manchester Police Chief Constable Ian Hopkins tweeted he’s “so proud” of the officers who organized it.
So what happened? According to the Mail on Sunday, ACC Sutcliffe had been “comparing” cleavage with Supt Jackson. Although, another source adds there had been a “ding dong over allegations of false chests.” Not very ladylike, not to mention that it’s anything but professional.
ACC Sutcliffe told the Mail on Sunday:
“I’ve nothing to say. This is an incredibly stressful time.”
Jackson’s Out
It’s quite sad if you think about it. These women were celebrating women’s power and their roles in our society.
However, they failed when it came to comparing boobs and started throwing accusations of plastic surgeries. Since the argument happened at the bar, some claim that these ladies had a bit too much to drink, especially Sutcliffe. Still, they weren’t having a night out. They were staying at the Hilton hotel for business.
According to Daily Mail, Sutcliffe was shouting and shaming Jackson for her alleged boob enchantment:
“Look at these, look at these, these are the breasts of someone who has had three children. They are ugly, but I don’t feel the need to pump myself full of silicone to get self-esteem.”
Soon after the incident, Ms. Jackson transferred to Cumbria police from Greater Manchester Police because she felt “awkward and embarrassed.” As for her boss, Ms. Sutcliffe, she certainly lost a lot of admiration.
Funnily enough, the same ladies would arrest any one of us for this kind of behaviour.
